Governors Guide

Is it your first time being a Governor, or simply wondering what they can do? You’ve come to the right place!

How do you become Governor?

After occupying the Zenith Hub, and winning Wasteland King, the R5 of the alliance can appoint a member as governor, or choose to remain Governor themselves. If they don’t make a selection within 2 hours, the default Governor is the R5.

What Privileges do you get

You can do the following this as Governor:

  1. Rename the State
  2. Issue State Bulletins
  3. Grant Titles to Players
  4. Turn on State Decree / State Boosts
  5. Award members of the state with Boxes or Coffers (Coffers are only present if you capture another HUB).
  6. Controls Immigration rules & who is approved/declined to enter the state in Top 10

The Governor also gets 12% boosts on Troop ATK, DEF and HP, and their messages will come up purple.

If you lose Wasteland King, there will be no Governor, so nothing will be able to be done, with the exception of Immigration – which falls to the Largest Might Player in state.

Titles

There are 10 Positive titles, and 9 Negative titles. Titles can be reassigned every 24 hours, if desired. All titles are reset at the end of the 2 weeks, at the start of the next Wasteland King. People assigned titles, will have their text in chats show up in a Blue Box. Below are the details of each available title.

The Aide can help the Governor appoint titles, allocate resources from boxes and coffers, and also turn on State Decree/Boosts. Most states have a specific time that boosts are to be turned on, so if the governor can’t be on at that time, it is important to select an Aide than can be! Aide is the only title that does not get any boosts.

State Decree / State Boosts

There are 7 State Decrees to be turned on. Your state will have to decide when to turn on each boost. Below are descriptions, as well as suggestions of when to turn them on. If you lose Wasteland King, you will not be able to turn on any boosts.

You can claim this 3 times every day to receive 200 Diamonds (total 600 per day).

Fast comeback boosts training speed by 300%. There is a limited amount of training you can do with this boost, which is 120% of the might depleted during Wasteland King. More can be found on the Fast Comeback page. It is recommended that this should be turned on at Reset (00:00 UTC) on Sunday, after Wasteland King.

This is the only boost that will be activated if there is no Governor. It will automatically turn on when the opposing state captures the hub.

Construction boost adds a +20% Build Speed for the commanders in the state for 1 day. It is recommended to turn this on during Ace Tuesday reset (00:00 UTC).

Research boost adds a +20% Research Speed for the commanders in the state for 1 day. It is recommended to turn this on during Ace Tuesday reset (00:00 UTC).

Training boost adds a +30% Training Speed for the commanders in the state for 7 days. It is recommended to turn this on during Ace Thursday reset (00:00 UTC).

Award Boxes / Coffers

For each state you capture, you earn 100 boxes to distribute to members of your state. If you only secure your own HUB, you get one set. If you capture another state, you get 2 times as much plus you earn taxes from the other state, otherwise known as coffers. You can give 1 box per person per state captured. So if you capture one other region, you can give someone 2 boxes. The boxes rewards depend on the Wasteland King bracket you are in. You must hand out the boxes before the next wasteland king, otherwise they will be forfeited. The different types of boxes are as followed:

Your state should agree to a method of distribution that works for them. A simple template to consider would be the following:
King – Wasteland King most valuable player
Rulers – to go to captains who did 2 or more shifts – if there is one left over, 1 for Governor / their choice
Loyalty – For the rest of captains & co-captains who did not get a Rulers box.
The remainder loyalty and contribution boxes will be distributed to those who signed up and showed up on time for their shift. If there are boxes left over, the ones who showed up to fill can get some – but they aren’t guaranteed it.

The suggestion for most valuable player, would be the captain who takes the most losses, or player who took the most losses defending the state if there is no NAP, or the player who was critical in capturing another state. If there isn’t really anyone, the Governor gets to choose.

All states, whether you are conquered or not, pay a tax (in the form of resources) on plundering hqs (30%) and the taxes via transporting (whatever your trading post is at). If you secure your hub, these taxes go into the abyss. Conquered states pay taxes on a daily basis to the state that conquered them. These resources go to Coffers, which the governor can decide to allocate how they wish. You do not need to use them every Wasteland King, as they will accumulate and be save for the future. Many states choose to save them up, for if someone ever has major losses during an event.

Immigration Approvals

When Wasteland is successful, the Governor controls who is able to enter the gate. If the state is conquered, this role falls to the No.1 ranked on the states “Personal Might Rank”.
  1. If a commander’s highest historical might is ranked in the Top 10 in the state they wish to immigrate to, they must submit an application, which requires Governor (or #1 might if no governor) permission. This looks at True Might (also known as “Highest Might”), which is your might EXCLUDING troop might.
    • Anyone under Top 10 does NOT need permission, UNLESS the state is young enough to have a HQ Level limitation.
  2. When a state is young, it is able to set a required maximum HQ Level for immigration. There is a default minimum, that increases as the state ages. The governor can set the max HQ level higher if they desire, but no higher than the highest HQ level in the state. If your HQ is higher than the HQ limit, you will not be able to immigrate until it is high enough to accommodate you.

It is possible for someone to be low enough True Might to fly into your state without permission, but be in your Top 10 Personal Might Ranking, as they could have a lot of troop might. If they fly in without permission, and are your #1 ranked player, they will automatically become the controller of the gate, if you do not have a governor. This is often called a “gate crasher”, where they will then let in their big friends and potentially take over a state.

If you are trying to immigrate, you can read more about it here: Immigration Page (link coming soon).
