Doomsday

Doomsday is an event where your Faction, made up of the Top 5 alliances in your state, compete against other Factions, to conquer a map, by taking footholds. You will start out in a “Safe Zone”, and as the event progresses, new footholds will unlock to attack. As you progress further in the event, and as your footholds border other Factions, you will be able to attack each other and try to take footholds from other factions. Different footholds come with different perks!

Note: This is an example from February 2025 Doomsday event. It is subject to change for future events.

Sept 2025 Doomsday makes mention of Pass & Mountains – which you will have to pass through to reach another region. You will attack it similarly as a foothold, and can march through it once you capture it.

The safe zone is the only area you will never be able to be attacked in. If an enemy territory borders one of your other foothold territories, they will be able to attack that foothold, as well as any HQ located in that area. You are able to bubble on the Doomsday map, but use this with caution, as it may drop and you will be attacked.

Now to get into more details….

Matchmaking – Sept 10, 2025 00:00 UTC – 23:59 UTC

Match Making takes place on a specified date (upcoming event: September 10th 2025 00:00 UTC – 23:59 UTC). To participate in Doomsday, you must be HQ 20 or higher, and logged in between a specified period (upcoming event: Aug 26 – Sept 10).

You must be in one of the Top 5 alliances by might to qualify for the event, during the Match Making day. Do not immigrate or change alliances during this time. After the match making period (On Sept 10) ends, you can switch alliances without impacting your qualification, however, you will not be able to immigrate until the event is over. While you can swap alliances, it is recommended to stay in a Top 5 alliance for the duration of the event, so you can participate in Doomsday rallies (as rallies get a boost from using the War Hounds – we’ll learn about this below).

Pre-Expedition – Sept 12, 2025 00:00 UTC – Sept 14, 2025 23:59 UTC

You will be able to see what other Factions (states) you are against for the event during this period. You will compete in daily events (similar to Ace Commander / Break Loose), to get resources and items that will come in handy in Doomsday.

Doomsday EXpedition – Sept 15, 2025 00:00 UTC – Sept 28, 2025 23:59 UTC

This is where the bulk of doomsday play will take place. It is where you will grow your Warhounds, battle to take footholds, complete Chronicles, and deal with Radiation Resistance.

Radiation Resistance

This is a new item for the upcoming Doomsday. Commanders will be exposed to deadly radiation, upon entering the event map. You will enter in your safe zone. Every minute, your radiation resistance will decay. As the event progresses, the rate of radiation will increase. You can obtain radiation medicine and booster serums by occupying footholds. Radiation Medicine is used to support your own radiation. Use booster serum on your teammates to boost theirs.

If your Radiation Resistance is greater than 70%, you will gain a stat bonus. If it is lower than 70%, your stats will be reduced. You receive a reward the first time you reach 100% each day.

There is an outbreak in the last 30 minutes of each day, where the decay rate doubles. If at Reset every day, you are greater than 0%, you will be able to claim a reward.

warhounds

War hounds are used to increase troop size, rally size, and also help take footholds. This means you will be able to run larger Zombie Lairs on the Doomsday map!

To send out a march (to gather on tiles, zombie lairs, attacks), you must equip a war hound to begin your march. This means until you have 5 separate war hounds, you will not be able to send 5 marches out at one time.

War hounds star level will remain the same for the next Doomsday, but the level will reset. You can earn material to level up war hounds by hunting war hound lairs, completing quests, and zombie lairs. To increase star level you must gain war hound designs which you can buy, or earn in different quests.

Siege Armour = use on Foothold Center attacks

Troop specific = use on Foothold wall attacks, zombie lairs, war hound labs.

Footholds, TErritory & Main Base

The map will be divided into different territories (as shown at the start of the article), with each one containing a foothold. When you capture a foothold, you secure the territory. New footholds will open up as the event progresses. Unavailable footholds and their territories are grey’d out and unable to be accessed, even if bordered with your territory, until they are available.

A reminder – the safe zone is the only area you will never be able to be attacked in. If an enemy territory borders one of your other foothold territories, they will be able to attack that foothold, as well as any HQ located in that area. You are able to bubble on the Doomsday map, but use this with caution, as it may drop and you will be attacked. Resource tiles in the safe zone are also protected from attack.

You can also stay in the safe zone and attack footholds from there – where you will remain safe, but have a long march time. This is valid even if your main base & capture territory is NOT attached to the Safe Zone.

The Main base is automatically defaulted to the first foothold captured. It can be changed every 24 hours by the Faction Leader and officers. The Main Base is important, because territory controlled by a faction is only considered valid (counting towards points) if it is connected to the main base.

You can attack player bases, gather resources, etc in the territory you secure, and the open territory that borders your area (including enemy territory). Just be cautious that enemies can attack you (HQ and tiles) in area that borders their own.

In this photo, you can see that S03 lost the Garment Factory (shown as faded) because it is not attached to their Main Base. That means, while it is not captured by another faction yet, it still does not count towards the points for your region. You will NOT be able to defend it, collect tiles in that zone, or relocate your HQ there until it is reconnected to your Main Base.

When you occupy footholds, your faction will earn a “foothold output” where you will earn rewards every hour. Rewards will accumulate and you must manually collect, up to 12 hours.

Battle Rules

Each foothold has 2 parts – the Walls and the Center. Whenever the first attack hits a foothold, the timer starts on how long you have to defeat the Walls & Center, before you have to start over on the Wall. If you do not complete it within the time limit, the NPC’s in the wall will be replenished, and the Center will gradually start to heal.

The walls cannot be attacked through rallies – instead each commander attacks individually, all at the same time. You want to attack these with your troop specific war hounds. It is best to not spam attacks, especially on higher level footholds, as you will lose with weaker attacks. The walls are protected by NPC’s, as well as the opponents troops (if it is already occupied by another Faction).

There is a limit to the number of defenders that can be defeated with each attack. Once the limit is reached, the attacking team will retreat. The walls will be occupied by your Faction once all the defenders are defeated. You then have to attack the Center. If the opposing team is able to recapture the walls from you while you are attacking the Center, you will stop being able to attack the Center, and must re-defeat them in the walls to continue.

The Center has something called durability – which you will want to attack with your Vehicle Siege Armour Warhounds. When you bring the Center down to 0 points remaining, your faction will capture the foothold and the territory. The defenders of the center are a team of NPC’s. When you win a battle, you will deal the durability damage as specified on your war hound (upgrade them to deal more damage). Your troops do not battle with the enemies in the centre. If you lose your battle against the Center, you will deal 0 durability damage – so if you lose, do not keep spamming attacks, as you are doing nothing. This will become more evident in higher level footholds as they are harder.

Once you capture a foothold, you will have a 10 hour shield on it, where it can not be attacked during that time frame. The first time a foothold is occupied, the top 3 kills and the top 3 demolitions will gain special rewards. Random foothold chests also appear the first time a foothold is occupied – they go fast so pay attention!

All attacks consume Fuel. Fuel is recovered over time, until it reaches the maximum you can hold. You can earn some doing dailies. This is another reason why you don’t want to spam attacks – so you conserve fuel.

Expedition Hospital

Any injured or fallen soldier will be sent to the Expedition Hospital. The hospital will generate first aid kits over time to use to resurrect troops. There is a limit to how many first aid kits you can accumulate, and once the limit is reached, you won’t accumulate more until you use some. You can also use diamonds to resurrect troops.

The expedition hospital will instantly heal 20% of troops in the hospital every Friday at 00:00 UTC.

When the final Chronicle ends at the end of the event, no more first-aid kits will be produced and the hospital will close after 24 hours. 80% of remaining troops will be healed, and 20% will die. During the last Doomsday, it was VERY manageable to have all your troops healed by the end of the event, without using diamonds, if you didn’t do anything drastic on the last day.

Chronicles

There will be “Chronicle Quests” that as a faction need to complete. This will likely include clearing 1000 zombie lairs, occupying a foothold, and gathering 1,000,000,000 load worth of resources. As you complete Chronicles, the number of footholds you are able to occupy will increase. You will also earn extra rewards.

Higher level zombie lairs and resource tiles will start to spawn as the Chronicles progress.

quests

There will be low-difficulty weekly quests and high-difficulty challenge quests to complete. Completing them can earn you Battle Medals and rare item rewards, such as items to upgrade your Warhounds.

Other events

During Doomsday, your normal alliance events will still take place. You will be able to place Sonic on the Doomsday map (place it in safe zone). DR & DoA will be ran on the normal maps. Sonic will be ran in doomsday. Res wars / alliance clash, tundra tussle and nuka can be entered while in doomsday. Wasteland King and Valiant Conquest will need to return to normal state. If you are on the doomsday map, you don’t need to be shielded for Valiant Conquest, as you won’t be visible for hunting (you’ll be a red circle, like people are for other events you port out for).

settlement – Sept 29, 2025 00:00 UTC – Oct 1, 2025 23:59 UTC

This is where you will be able to purchase rewards from the Exchanger Shop. Bronze War Medals can be exchanged during the event, but the Silver War medals will be exchanged in settlement.

Some rewards will require specific Faction Achievements levels before they are available. The Faction Achievements are based on the final rankings, and depend on highest level foothold each faction has captured, and the total points each Faction has when the event ends.

This means only 1 Faction can be City State, only 2 factions can be Community, and the rest will be camps (based on the previous doomsday map). There are also different ranges in each level for Camp/Community/City-State.

Individual rewards also depends on what rank a player has in the Faction. R5 & Officers receive the highest rewards, followed by R4’s, then R3’s, and lastly R2 and R1 share the same tier of rewards.

You will also earn Kill Points rewards based on the number and tier of wounded and killed troops during the event.
