Wasteland Conquest

What is wasteland conquest?

Wasteland Conquest is similar to Wasteland King, where you will attack a Zenith Hub & 4 towers. Your state will need to be 90+ days old to be eligible to participate. It generally happens ~6 months.

A top tip for preparing for Wasteland Conquest, is to save all of your heal speed ups for this event. Do not use them on other events throughout the year. It will let you kill more troops, and get more rewards, which are pretty great (see below).

How is timing chosen?

The event

Things you NEED to know:

1. You need to purchase a ticket to participate (see above).
2. You will see what states you are against beforehand.
3. The war will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
4. Only T8+ troops will earn you points. Any lower troop tier will not count towards points.
5. There is a Wasteland Hospital. All units lost in battles at the towers and hub, will be sent to the Wasteland Hospital. After the battle ends, you have 10 minutes to heal before the Hospital closes.
   • When the hospital closes, 90% of what is remaining, will be healed, with the other 10% being lost permanently.
   • You want to aim to heal ALL of your troops so you have no permanent loss. It is recommended to save all of your heal speed ups throughout the year for this event.
   • No resources are required for healing, just speed ups.
   • It’s recommended to heal as you go, so you won’t end up killing more than you can heal.
6. The first 30 minutes is just getting set up in the map. The actual battle starts 30 minutes in. Arrive early so you get a good spot. You will want to align with your team on a general area you will want to sit.
7. DO NOT LAND IN THE MUD.
   • If you lose troops due to an HQ attack in the mud, your troops will not go to the Wasteland Hospital. They will be dead for good. So please be very careful.
8. There are multiple ways to earn points for rewards, which will be detailed below.
9. You can leave the map and return during the event.
10. Attacking a sanctuary on the mud will NOT send troops to the Wasteland Hospital; those are just real dead troops, so don’t do it.

Zones

There are 3 different zones within the battle field:

1. INNER ZONE
   • This is the mud area or the black earth. This is where you see most big monster accounts relocate to easily occupy a tower or the fort.
2. MIDDLE ZONE
   • This is the green area. This is where to park your HQs for safety. From the middle zone, you can attack sanctuaries in the inner zone without retaliation.
3. OUTER ZONE
   • Behind the middle zone, you will see a blue strip that separates Middle and Outer Zones. If you port late, and the middle zone is full, this is where you will likely park your HQ. People in the outer zone can still attack towers and fort, but cannot attack sanctuaries in the inner zone. It’s unlikely you will attack any HQ’s so don’t worry about this.

Note: You will not be able to see your alliance members on the map, and map placements will fill up VERY QUICKLY. Align if you want to be in the general North, East, South or West beforehand.

Points

You can earn points 3 ways:

1. Occupation Points for Towers / Hub (difficult)
2. Killing Enemy Troops
3. Death of your own troops (how you will earn most of your points)

It is recommended that your strongest teammates start super rallies to attack the buildings, with members of the alliance joining them. This is the best chance to earn some occupation points, and you will also kill more enemy troops as you are attacking as a team. Unless you are a monster player, it is unlikely your team will get more than a few seconds of occupancy points, if any at all.

If your state is new, or you don’t have many members in your team who want to participate, it may be beneficial to work with other alliances in your state, and join your State Alliance, or join another alliance in the state for the event.

Heal Speed UP & Point Rough Estimate

You can use the below tool to help you estimate your heal speed ups and troop points you will earn. It is just a rough estimate and will not be EXACTLY what you need.

Rewards

The points you earn will allow you to buy some pretty great things! Your points accumulate over the 3 events, and the Event shop does not refresh, so if you buy something out during the first battle, you will not be able to buy it in the 2nd or 3rd.

The top rewards to strive for are the Rare Weapon Design Box III, and the Troop chip items. If you are a player later in the game who needs Carbon Nanotubes and Proton Accelerators, this is a great opportunity to get those too!

I would recommend NOT buying tickets for the next round with points as you can buy them with diamonds. You might not want to play the next rounds, and diamonds are generally easier to get than points.

Feasts

The other great part about Wasteland Conquest, is the winners are able to hosts Feasts (which they pay $100 each time to do for everyone)! Feasts are essentially click and collect events. Anyone HQ 20+ can attend FOR FREE. You don’t need to have done the Conquest events to participate in Feast.

The feasts are an event that you essentially get free rewards from. You can buy gifts to give everyone, and you collect free rewards from people who bought them. You’ll be able to click the centre every so often to get a reward, and you’ll be able to collect rewards from all the gifts sent. There is generally a lot of Refiners and Glory gained.

If there is more than one feast going on, you can jump between theme to get double the rewards.

Summary

1. Don’t land in the mud.
2. Save up heal speed ups all year for this event. Don’t kill more troops than you can heal.
3. Run super rallies with your teammates.
4. 10% of your unhealed troops will permanently die.
