Alliance Trial
Alliance Trial is a Match-3 event that happens every two weeks, and lasts for 3 days. This event can be started by the Leader or one of the Officers. Members with HQ 12+ can join. You can challenge 3 times daily. Each challenge grants points, and add up over the 3 attempts, each day (for a total of 9 attempts). The more points you earn, the higher the rewards! Each ally can also dispatch a hero, for their teammates to use – this means you can also use 1 hero from your teammates each round.
If you are the Leader or Officer starting Alliance Trial, it is recommended to start a Level 1-12 (whatever the highest level is you can select). Once you unlock Level 13, DO NOT START IT. Level 13’s boss is immune to Lady M’s skill, which is very important for earning very large scores.
You and your Alliance are against the other players and alliances in the state. There are extra ranking rewards for alliance rank and personal rank in the state.
How to Pick Heroes
To earn high scores, you will want to select the following types of heroes:
Option 1: Lady M, Support Hero, Defense down debuff hero (Ulrik is the best), random tile clear (Dara, Angelo, Hanyu Ichiro), and 1 damage dealer based on boss colour. This is the option you will want to pick if you are most established in the game and your hero’s will survive the first hit from the boss.
Option 2: Lady M, Supporter Hero, hero with rage gauge reduce (Mars/Atropos or Mantis), tile clear heroes (Dara, Angelo, Hanoi Ichiro) and 1 damage dealer based on boss colour. This is the option you will want to pick if you are newer to the game and don’t have developed heroes, as your heroes will not survive a hit from the boss.
- Lady M: most important hero, must have in a team no matter the boss color. The only hero that can prevent the boss to wipe out your team with its rage bar block effect. Use her skill at turn 10 (when the boss’ rage bar turn blue), and right when the rage block effect gone off (every 4 turns).
- Slot 2: Supporter. Choose one of these two.
- Samuel: the best supporter for charging allies’ rage bar. His skill will fully charge the rage gauge for one ally (except himself) and one ally get 10% rage regeneration each turn in 3 turns. Also have 30% critical rate from passive unlocked at 6 star (+5 or above) so that you may not need extra dmg dealer against blue monster. Bring Samuel if you are not confident on your tile luck and board management.
- Marcus: 44% crit rate up for all allies is a huge boost of damage, and 15% charge speed for yellow type heroes make it a bit faster to charge up Lady M (reduce from 10 to 9 yellow tiles to fully charge her rage gauge).
- 3rd slot: Random tile clear heroes
- Random tile clear heroes are a must as they help you clear the board when you are struggling to get yellow tiles, and also are damage dealers against your enemy.
- Dara is a good option for both purposes with her grenade creation passive (which is very powerful). Use against green boss.
- Angelo has the best damage output (tiles damage from his skill is 420%, while Dara has 300% and Hanyu is 280%) but have the worst tile clear effect. Use against blue boss.
- Hanyu Ichiro is used when you want more tile damage against red boss.
- 4th slot (Option 1): Hero with defense down debuff, or hero with rage down effect. Base on your heroes condition. You can also opt out of having this, and instead bring two Tile Clearing heroes (which you should do if you have notoriously bad luck with tiles)
- Ulrik: Well performed on every boss color even if against red boss. Because of his 44% def down and last for 6 turns. Also has 63% defense up and damage share to keep your team alive. Only drawback is slow charge speed and no critical rate passive.
- Other defense down heroes: when you want to have more damage from color advantage. Include Ironclaw, Ephraim, Wali. Choose one from the above list base on the colour of the boss type.
- 4th or 5th slot (Option 2): rage down skill heroes
- use this when 1 or more member of the team is too low to survive an attack from the boss
- Use their skill at turn 10, at the same time with Lady M skill to prevent the boss strike.
- Include Mars (easiest hero to accquire, with passive critical), Mantis, Atropos.
- Mars is the best option, as he also deals 528% damage to the target.
- 5th slot (Option 1): damage dealer or damage support.
- Nataly/Meyer: attack boost for all allies. These two are usable for every boss type, but only use them if you already have def down debuff and random tile clear heroes in your line up. Meyer also have 20% atk down debuff on enemies, which may help your lower heroes stay alive. Since the same type of buff will override the old one, don’t bring 2 heroes with the same boost (like atk up).
- Ray Ramos: Create a 3×3 grenade and 45% attack up after using skill. Have a passive to increase tile damage when you get a 3x combo or higher. Very good choice, but expensive.
- Edward Teach: his skill has 2 turns delay, but create a flash grenade upon firing. Also very hard to accquire.
- Phoenix (for green boss): very high base attack and even higher with 80% self attack boost maxed at turn 16, also have passive critical. Make your red tile hit very hard.
- Levina (optional on red boss): 30% passive crit at +5 and 10% crit for each blue teammate. Not the best option but more crit means more damage.
- + Reyn: for new state players. Charging 15% rage bar for all allies upon using skill. Cheap and quite efficient. Must be in the team with rage down heroes because he can’t take any boss strike.
How to earn high scores
The strategy is to stall the boss as many turns as possible with Lady M skill, so that you don’t get wiped out by the rage attack. The more rounds you last, the more damage you will do, as you get a 10% damage boost every turn after turn 10. Most of your damage will come from tile-clearing, and you can boost your damage with defense down debuff on enemy/critical rate. Note that your tiles are only able to deal damage if you have heroes of the same colour present.
When you start the match, you want to keep an eye on when the monsters Silent effect wears off. When it does, you will get attacked and you want to make sure to activate Lady M & your rage reducer hero right before this happens. You can check this by long holding on top of the monster. You can do this on all hero’s too to see how long their effect is in play for them. When it turns blue, like in the photo below, you need to activate Lady M and Mars (or other rage reduce hero)! You have just bought yourself 4 more turns! In these next 4 turns you need to replenish Lady M again!

After you use Lady M the first time, you have 4 rounds the monster can’t gain rage. You need to charge Lady M up by collecting 10 yellow tiles (or less if you use a rage regen boost hero). Keep an eye on it, like you did before by long pressing the monster, and keeping an eye on the little blue x logo.
If you have no yellows on the board – this is when you use Hanyu and Dara and hope some spawn in!
A fun fact – if a tile doesn’t hit a monster, it counts as 2x for rage replenishment. That means if you have a row of yellows in either of the far two lanes, it will count as double for rage replenishment for Lady M!

My biggest tip, once you get Lady M charged up, DON’T touch any more yellows on the board, until you need to charge her up again. You will want to use her skill when the boss debuff “Silent. Unable to cast certain skills” is over. If you earn it faster, clear the board of non-yellow tiles, to try to save up more yellow tiles for the next recharge of Lady M.
Pay attention and try to keep as many yellow tiles on the board as you can, even if this means delaying Hanyu and Dara’s effects.
Recommended LIne ups to try:
If you are new and your heroes can’t survive a hit: Lady M, Mars, Samuel, Dara, + Damage dealer strong against colour of boss.
If you are almost surviving the first hit: Lady M, Mars, Ulrik, Samuel, Dara (Ulrik will help you survive the hit)
If you are developed, and can survive a hit: Lady M, Nataly, Samuel, Dara, + Damage dealer strong against colour of boss.
