Tundra Tussle

Tundra Tussle is a new event introduced to PNS in June 2025. It is a new regular event occurring every 3 weeks, in rotation with Alliance Clash / Reservoir Wars. Battle against 2 other alliances, and try to capture as many footholds as you can. Defeat the Kraken and claim victory!

Watch how it works:

Registration

Must be HQ 18+ and online in the past 7 days.

Alliance requirements:

  • Alliances with 40-79 qualified members can form one team (Team A)
  • Alliances with 80+ qualified members can form two teams (Team A + Team B)

Each member registers with a Fighter, Shooter and Rider line up. They will select their heroes, and troops will be provided based on what rank is unlocked. For example, if you have T11 fighters unlocked, but only T10 riders, and T10 shooters, that is what tier troops will be provided. These are default troops so no losses from the event. There is no hospital.

The stats for each line up are based on the players statistics, and the hero’s chosen. Temporary boosts are not considered.

Timeframes must be selected ahead of time. You can select two different time frames if you have a Team A and a Team B.

You can appoint Tundra Tussle Commanders – these players will be able to appoint station masters, and place alliance markers to identify upcoming targets.

Endorsement

You can endorse 3 teams who you think are going to win to earn Fan Medals.

Matchmaking

Matchmaking is based on the might of the participating teams.

the event

The first 5 minutes of the event allow members to enter the event. If at 5 minutes, there are not 40 members, additional teammates can join to fill in the spots.

When the battle begins, the target is to earn as many points as you can. Higher ranked buildings will earn more points.

You can only move between footholds that have a direct line between them, so you must plan strategically how you will move across the map.

The various footholds open in phases, with Level 1 – 4 opening first, then Level 5, and then Level 6, which is the Kraken.

When you first battle a foothold, you will battle against NPC guards, which you must defeat to capture the foothold. Once you capture it, the NPC guards will help you defend it as well.

When you attack a foothold occupied by the opposing alliances, you must defeat the NPC guards, as well as their stationed members.

There are something called Frostproof batteries, which are required for any action in Tundra Tussle. Appointing a Station Master speeds up Frostproof Battery recovery.

Battle is similar in nature to Flag Capture, where it is a 1 to 1 battle, where each battle fights another player, and whoever loses gets sent back. There are no rallies in this event. When there are multiple players at the same foothold, the battles occur one at a time, taking place in order of troop arrival.

You can reinforce your troops by going to the foothold where you are stationed and using Frostproof Batteries for rapid reinforcement. You can’t do this while actively in combat.

If you lose an attack against a foothold, the NPC guards will reset. Your troops will be wiped out and returned to your starting base camp with a 1 minute respawn timer. You can use frostproof batteries to respawn instantly. There is no hospital for this event.

You can disband troops. This means all your current troops are sacrificed and returned instantly to your starting base camp. This could be useful if you need to retreat quickly to defend your territory.

You can utilize the following functions – “Advance”, “Retreat” and “Expedite” in battle.

Advance: What 6+ players are queued for battle, you can spend extra Frostproof Batteries to move to an adjacent enemy foothold.

Retreat: When 6+ players are queued for battle, spend extra Frostproof Batteries and sacrifice some troops to withdraw to your foothold.

Expedite Battle: When 6+ players are queued for battle, spend Diamonds to accelerate and quickly conclude the ongoing battle.

Rewards

If you earn the most points, you win the event. Whether you win or not, there are a lot of great rewards available.

Alliance Reward is based ONLY on the performance of Team A. Team B will still get the rewards, but it doesn’t matter if they place first or third.

The amount of rewards you get will depend on what ranking group you are in.
