Doomsday – Sand sea

Doomsday is upon us once again – this time with some new changes! Watch the below video for sneak peak into new gameplay!

Registration

  • Top 5 alliances qualify to participate from each state
  • [NEW] Each alliance will form it’s own faction
    • Factions from the same state will not be on the same map
  • [NEW] Factions get to select their time slot. This will be the time all footholds open for the duration of the event.
    • Time slots for S1-300 were:
      • UTC 05:00
      • UTC 13:00
      • UTC 21:00

Pre-expedition

There are 3 days of pre-expedition, to earn extra rewards by either ranking in each phase, total rank, and faction rank! These days are:

  • Day 1: Gather Resources & Get Diamonds (buy boxes)
  • Day 2: Build Speedup, Research Speedup, Training Speedup
  • Day 3: Get Enhance Material, Get Promote Material, Get Modification Material, Bioenhancer

Event

There are a lot of different components to the event. Below is an overview of each component.

[New] Faction Merging

Once you are on the map, you have the ability to merge with other factions.

  • Week 1: Only 1 merge permitted, and must be in the same region of the map.
  • Week 2: Factions can merge with any Faction on the map. Can merge with 3 other factions (for a total of 4, including your own faction).

The applying faction becomes the subordinate, while the approving Faction becomes the main Faction (and will maintain R5).

When you merge, you do not gain extra boxes to hand out and positions in the alliance are limited to: 1 R5, 8 Officers, 24 R4’s, 175 R3’s and unlimited R2 and R1.

The positive to a merge for small alliances would be the opportunity to gain extra passive rewards, chronicle rewards and alliance milestones. The positive for a merge for bigger alliances is having more people present to join attacks and rallies.

[NEW] Trade Station

There are 5 levels of Trade Stations that open as the event progresses. When they open, the battle lasts for 60 minutes. You do NOT have to be touching Trade Stations to contest and battle for them. If you are not the strongest alliance on the map, it may be difficult to secure one, without agreement beforehand.

  • Commanders can teleport their sanctuary to the mud surrounding the Trade Station – no shields can be activated there, and people can attack you from any area in the map.
  • There is one leader “attacking” to claim the Trade Station. Players in your faction can reinforce you to help you defend.
  • To secure: the first commander to reach 100% occupation progress will successfully occupy the Trade Station, or the player with the longest occupation time when the battle ends.
  • 3 Day Trade Phase once secured. Cannot be attacked or contested. After this, it can be contested again.
  • Station Master will list goods and all commanders on the map can purchase items from it
    • Members of the same faction as the Station Master enjoy discounts on diamond items
  • Each commander can buy 10 items per day.
  • The same item in a single trade station can only be purchased once per day.
  • A portion of the total trade revenue from the current round will be taxed and awarded to the Station Master. They will receive a different golden egg reward based on the total tax collected.
[NEW] Sand Sea Vault
  • The Sand Sea Vault has two typesPersonal Vaults and Alliance Vaults.
  • Desert Keys summon Personal Vaults, while Desert Compasses summon Alliance Vaults.
  • Personal Vault: Players use Sand Mine Shovels to dig for treasures. Finding all treasures gives a bonus surprise reward.
  • Alliance Vault: Once summoned, all alliance members can dig once using shovels to find treasures and earn rewards. The player who summons the vault also receives a reward.
  • Allies can help each other by gifting digging items daily. Each player can assist up to 10 allies per day and receive help from the same ally once.
[NEW] Alliance milestones

Alliance Milestones open up throughout the event. When an alliance completes a milestone quest, all members may claim rewards.

      • Desert Key

      • S1 Weapon Design Choice Box
Expedition Tech

This will help you improve your stats, first aid kits, troop size, rally size, and fuel. Use Universal Wrenches, obtained from Golden Lion Hunts (first defeat only), and from quest rewards to progress through the tree.

War Hound & War Hound Factory

War hounds are used to increase troop size, rally size, and also help take footholds. This means you will be able to run larger Zombie Lairs on the Doomsday map!

To send out a march (to gather on tiles, zombie lairs, attacks), you must equip a war hound to begin your march. This means until you have 5 separate war hounds, you will not be able to send 5 marches out at one time.

War hounds star level will remain the same for the next Doomsday, but the level will reset. You can earn material to level up war hounds by hunting war hound lairs, completing quests, and zombie lairs. To increase star level you must gain war hound designs which you can buy, or earn in different quests.

Siege Armour = use on Foothold Center attacks (use riders to hit faster)

Troop specific = use on Foothold wall attacks, zombie lairs, war hound labs.

Expedition Hospital

Any injured or fallen soldier will be sent to the Expedition Hospital. The hospital will generate first aid kits over time to use to resurrect troops. There is a limit to how many first aid kits you can accumulate, and once the limit is reached, you won’t accumulate more until you use some. You can also use diamonds to resurrect troops.

The expedition hospital will instantly heal 20% of troops in the hospital every Friday at 00:00 UTC.

When the final Chronicle ends at the end of the event, no more first-aid kits will be produced and the hospital will close after 24 hours. 90% of remaining troops will be healed, and 10% will die. During the last Doomsday, it was VERY manageable to have all your troops healed by the end of the event, without using diamonds, if you didn’t do anything drastic on the last day.

Settlement / Rewards

This is where you will be able to purchase rewards from the Exchanger Shop. Bronze War Medals can be exchanged during the event, but the Silver War medals will be exchanged in settlement.

Some rewards will require specific Faction Achievements levels before they are available. The Faction Achievements are based on the final rankings, and depend on highest level foothold each faction has captured, and the total points each Faction has when the event ends. Rewards vary based on if you are a City-State, Community, or Camp, as well as what Faction Point bracket you’re in.

Individual rewards also depends on what rank a player has in the Faction. R5 & Officers receive the highest rewards, followed by R4’s, then R3’s, and lastly R2 and R1 share the same tier of rewards.

There can only be:

  • 1 R5
  • 8 Officers
  • 24 R4’s
  • 175 R3
  • Unlimited R2 & R1

You will also earn Kill Points rewards based on the number and tier of wounded and killed troops during the event.
